This amazing woman from Japan can show as what it means to struggle in life and to win! She is really inspiring and there is no words that can describe this.
After watching this amazing woman, I can’t say someone else is to blame for our failure.
Manami Ito – Paralympic swimmer playing violin with her prosthetic arm
“Swim happily without forgetting the original intention.”
She lost her right arm in a traffic accident in November 2004 when she was studying to become a nurse, which forced her to abandon her career. However, when she went to a facility to get her artificial arm, she was amazed by people with a disability playing basketball. Since then, she began swimming and returned to study again to become a nurse.
Manami Ito is a nurse, a violinist, and a Paralympian swimmer. She came in 4th in the 100m Breaststroke at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics and 8th at the 2012 London Paralympics. She is also the first nurse to have a prosthetic arm in Japan, and shares her violin performances around the country.
